CMA NAMES TEAM MANAGER FOR TRIAL DES NATIONS

The Canadian Motorcycle Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Hendriks of Montreal as team manager for the 2016 FIM World Trials Championship for national teams. The event will take place in Isola, France on September

Jon’s history in international competitions is varied and includes sailing regattas, 12 meters and keelboats.

He became active in trials ( bicycle) competitions in 1994 and later as manager of Canada’s first professional bicycle trials team. He was nominated as Manager of the Canadian Cycle Team and held that position over three UCI world championships from 2008-2010.

In 2013 Jon competed in his last international competition at Whistler Crankworx, winning a gold medal in the master class. Since his retirement, he has been active coaching aspiring riders and doing demonstrations and shows, including performing on his trials bike in professional circus troupe Cirque Eloize.

He became involved with the Association de Trialistes Au Quebec (ATAQ) where he competes in motorcycle and bicycle events and has organized a trials competition at Morin Heights every year since 2010.
